Our Staff
Diane Hayes
Diane Hayes is Principal of our wonderful school. Diane has been Principal at St Mary’s since 1991 and is passionate about ensuring that children are given the best education that they can receive. Married to Juno – they have 8 children between them. Diane enjoys learning, travelling, reading and spending time with friends and family.
Katie Shaw

Katie Shaw is our Deputy Principal, and teaches the New Entrant and Year 1 children. She lives in Milton with her partner Benji and 3 children – Sophia, Benson and Louie. Katie enjoys following her partner round the country with his car racing.
Kate Gold
​
Kate Gold is the Director of Religious Studies and teaches the Year 2 and 3 children. She loves spending time with her family and enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Central Otago, whether hiking or cycling along the scenic trails. Kate is a dedicated teacher, who prioritises building relationships with her students, and creating a caring classroom culture with learning at the forefront.
Lori Waldron

Lori Waldron teaches Year 4, 5, and 6 students in Room 4 and is the Sports Coordinator. After spending half of her life in Australia, she’s thrilled to be back in New Zealand, and settling into life in Mosgiel. In her spare time, Lori loves to travel, spend time with her nieces and nephews, and take her dog to the beach. Lori is passionate about teaching and is committed to helping her students reach their full potential.
Sandra Shaw
Sandra Shaw is Office Administrator and has been a part of St Mary’s School for 29 years, being a parent, being a member of the Home and School and Chairperson of the BOT. All of her children – Katie, Alisha, Dion and Nicholas were educated at St Mary’s School.
Lyn Clark
Lyn Clark is Classroom Release Teacher. She lives in Milton on a sheep farm with her husband Bryce and their 3 children. Lyn enjoys Art and Maori.
Kirsty Collings

Kirsty Collings is a Teacher's Aide at Saint Mary's. She live in Milton with her husband Shay and 3 children - Quentin, Connor, and Hannah. She loves spending time with her family and crocheting. Kirsty has experience working with children for 9 years and has been a support teacher for the last 3 years.
Di Tait
Di Tait is a Teacher’s Aide at St Mary’s. Di loves working with children. She is married to Warren – has 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Di enjoys walking and handiwork.
