Welcome to St Mary's Transition to School "4 Year Old Class"
Beginning school is an important milestone in a child's life. It is important that both you and your child are well prepared for this step.
A class for 4 year old children has been established at St Mary's School in response to requests from the parent community.
This class will be held in Room One and will take place every Friday at 1.30pm until 2.40 pm at which time, you are invited to attend our weekly Assembly in the Hall. This takes place at 2.40pm.
As soon as your child turns 4 - he/she is eligible to join.
The class will be taught by our New Entrant teacher - Mrs Shelley Walker.
Our 4 year old class will provide a "bridge" for learning, and will make an effortless and delightful transition for your child from his/her early learning provider.
The specific purpose of St Mary's School, is to educate your child in a place where Christian values are taught and we enjoy a sense of family. Our 4 Year old class will develop an understanding of this.
Our 4 Year old class will be a means of developing routines and skills necessary to make your child's entry to school seamless.
St Mary's School places a great deal of emphasis on the development of numeracy and literacy skills. Your child will be taught basic skills in both of these areas.
Parents are welcomed and encouraged into our school. You will be issued with a "New Entrant Pack" and shown a variety of ideas on how you can help your child's learning at home.
Our 4 Year Old Class will provide children with a variety of fun, educational learning experiences.
If you would like your child to be a part of our "4 Year Old Class" - please contact:
